Summary - 

According to Gilberto Amelio, former President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp, effective leadership involve motivating others, sharing knowledge and ideas, and instilling a sense of urgency and enthusiasm in others. Failing to do so makes having a message pointless. Therefore,  excellent communication skills are essential to effective leadership.


Personal Opinion -

Personally, I agree with Gilbert Amelio's sentiment on the value of communication for leadership. But even more so for day-to-day life. However, I also believe that having a message of any kind is valuable whether the message gets across or not.

    Excellent structuring - this allows me to read and understand your points without any need for clarification.
    I spotted one grammatical error, the use of the sentence "But even more so for day-to-day life". I would replace the full stop prior to this sentence with a comma and remove the "but". The sentence seems to be a fragmented sentence if left alone.

3. Solutions   Our solution, DVTEV, constitutes the combination of 4 proposed improvements to counter the current CVTs’ difficulty in handling high torque loads and heat management issues. To counter these issues, doubling the number of pulleys and belts, having a rougher surface finish on the CVT pulleys, and adding cooling channels in the pulleys can be implemented. Along with these modifications, the addition of an alternator can increase drivetrain efficiency. 3.1 Doubling the Belts in a CVT Doubling the belts and pulleys can result in the forces acting in the transmission being distributed between 2 separate pulley-belt systems. Critical Reflection

Module Learnings: In the Singapore education system, proper writing etiquette and citation methodologies are neither taught nor held to the standards expected in a professional setting. As a result, my report writing seemed to lack professionalism, depth and represented my ideas in an amateurish manner. Bad writing etiquettes inculcated over years of report and essay writing had to be unlearned and replaced with good writing etiquette. Etiquettes such as fragmented sentencing, non-parallel word structure and improper continuation of grammar thru a full paragraph are among the many language-based etiquette changes that had to be made. As a result, my current writings now have the air of sophistication and professionalism demanded by organisations and readers alike.
